| PURPOSE
|
| The primary purpose of the River City Rod Run is to promote the sport of street rodding, both as a hobby and as a business. As a hobby there are many street rodders who are proud to showcase their workmanship and talents. As a business there are many companies that cater to the street rod industry and who find it hard to target the enthusiasts without a show of this type. |
| SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS
|
| The show brings together one of the largest collections of motorcycles, street rods, antiques and custom cars around. The show features burnout contests, Power Cruise, Miss Hot Rod contest, kid events and tricycle racing, lots of vendors and gear head related booths just to name a few.
The show in the past has included big name entertainment every year. Past recording artists and celebrities like Paul Revere and the Raiders, Loverboy, Starship, Chubby Checker, Eddie Money, Rare Earth, Sugarloaf, Iron Butterfly, All Stars, BTO, Three Dog Night, Night Ranger, Bret Michel's of Poison, Bad Company, Joan Jett, The Romantics and Foreigner. Also you will see some of the best 50's & 60's tribute bands and local musicians. This is a family event which audiences of all ages have come to enjoy. |
